About Cancer Directory Website

Cancer Directory Website provides the Australian community and health professionals with a credible and comprehensive online directory of trusted Australian cancer care publications and resources published since 2008. The Website provides direct links to resources on other websites that meet quality criteria determined by Cancer Council NSW. Over 500 are translated by accredited NAATI organisations into 56 languages.

This website has been developed to enable you to:

  • search for the printed, audio-visual and electronic resources that best fit your needs;
  • submit a resource that your organisation has published
  • suggest a resource another organisation has produced that you have found useful;
  • give feedback on the listed resources and websites; and
  • sign up to receive an electronic newsletter.

This Website aims to make it easier for you to access credible cancer care resources from across Australia, specifically those published by the Commonwealth, State and Territory Government departments, all Cancer Councils, major health services and reputable not for profit organisations.

Publications cover a range of cancer-related subject areas and target audiences, including:

  • all common cancer types;
  • prevention, screening, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, advanced cancer, and palliative care;
  • coping with cancer, including emotional and practical support, grief and loss; and
  • those for women, men, children, adolescents, Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander peoples, people from other culturally and linguistically diverse communities, people with disabilities and health professionals. Where a resource is specifically designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples it is titled as such or just as "Indigenous".
    State and Territory specific resources are marked in brackets, after the title.
